About ESICON Innovation
A platform connecting Nigerian talent with the companies, researchers and institutions that have real problems to solve.
Nigeria has no shortage of capable young people, and no shortage of problems worth solving. Too often the two never meet. A student in Kano may never hear about the company in Lagos that needs exactly what they're learning to do.
ESICON Innovation exists to close that distance. We want a student, corps member or graduate to be able to find real work, do it well and leave with payment and proof, and a company to find the people who can help, wherever they happen to be.
Nigeria's headline unemployment rate was 4.3% in Q2 2024, which hides the harder question: what kind of work is there, and is anyone ready for it? Each year brings a large new wave of students into a job market where formal roles are scarce.
93%
of employment in Nigeria was informal in Q2 2024.

JAMB figures, reported by Legit.ng, May 2026 (opens in a new tab)These figures describe the labour market and tertiary admissions. They don't directly measure skills, and they are the latest we could check against a source.
We're building a platform where solving a problem is how people learn, prove themselves and get noticed.
Companies, NGOs and institutions post work they actually need done.
People can show what they can do, whichever campus or state they come from.
Mixed teams work with mentors and finish with paid, evidenced work.
Team profiles are coming soon.
Who we are
ESICON Innovation isn't an independent organisation. It's built and run by Basmalat Nass Integrated Services Limited, which provides the platform as its solution for connecting Nigerian talent, institutions and industry.
